Is Senator McCain the ultimate flip-flopper?

The List is extensive, and because of his long political career getting longer and more problematic for him by the minute.

Senator McCain has painted himself as a " Maverick " riding his " Staight talk express ", that could have being the case in 2000. However, in 2008 it is not the case. It feels, now, that SenMcCain goes with the permanent changing wind of political circumstances with no regard for his own original principles. It doesn't give, in any case, the indication of a steady character and of an ability to stay cool under pressure.

This is a partial list of Sen McCain's flip-flops:

1- Sen. McCain used to say of Jerry Falwell and Pastor Hagee that they were " agent of intolerance" ( 2002), but now he cozy up to them for part of the Evangelists vote.

2- Sen.McCain used to oppose President Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy, but now he is for them.

3-Sen.McCain supported the campain finance reform measure ( the McCain/Feingold bill), but in June he stopped pushing the bill.

4- Sen. McCain was both for and against state promotion of the Confederate flag.

5- Sen. McCain is for and against overturning Roe versus Wade.

6-Sen. McCain was anti-ethanol, now he is pro-ethanol ( Iowa's farmers may be ?).

7-Sen.McCain also changed his tune on yet another of his own bill. The (good) immigration bill ( McCain/Kennedy bill), when he realized that most GOP's voters were against it.
