As the conflict in Gaza drags into Day 18, no one, including the combatants themselves, knows whether the war is nearing an end or beginning a new, drawn-out and more deadly phase.So far 900 Palestinians have being killed and more then 4,000 seriously wounded.The UN Secretary General is in the region pressing for a ceasefire.
