Very true. The Hilary supporters I know are very bitter about her loss, and some are thinking the unthinkable, of voting for McCain. "McCain Democrat" is the most idiotic term I've heard. There's no comparison to Reagan; Reagan Democrats came after the failure of Carter's administration (justified or not). There's no reason to jump ship and support the Republican party when they've trashed the country for the last 8 years.
