Even the agency’s successes have turned out to be failures, says Tim Weiner, the author of "Legacy of Ashes". This is one of the most detailed & well researched book about the agency's failures & short coming. At a time when the CIA is on trial, at least in the public opinion, for the " harsh interrogation techniques" this book is a must read.

I agree. One of the few "on the record" books on the CIA that wasn't published surreptitiously...
