Judges: Abuse Photos Can't Be Withheld to Avoid 'Controversy

Last September, the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that releasing the prisoner abuse photos "is likely to further the purposes of the Geneva Conventions by deterring future abuse of prisoners.” The panel added that the photos could not be withheld just to "damper global controversy." But that's exactly what President Obama is doing.
