This poll looks at how Americans view torture in a religious context. In a poll, of the general US population( taken on 4/23/09) Pew found that Americans were split on the issue.Half said the use of torture dealing with suspected terrorist is often(15%) or sometime( 34%) justified. 22% said the use of torture is rarely justified, 25% said never.

Presidential race draws closer between Obama & McCain.
According to a poll from the Pew research Obama is losing ground to McCain. If the elections were held today, Obama would get 46% of voters against 43% for McCain. McCain has somehow managed to rally GOP's voters better than Obama with the Democrats. Only 72% of Clinton's supporters would vote for Obama. Having Hillary as VP would help.

The age factor: Will McCain be like Reagan or Dole ?
If elected, McCain would be 72 years old when he takes office. It would make him the oldest first term president ever. In a recent Pew research survey, the word used more often to describe McCain was " old ". This huge generation gap could make him out of touch with the problems and aspirations of young Americans. Can he even use the Internet?
