Pew Poll:The Religious Dimensions of the Torture Debate.

This poll looks at how Americans view torture in a religious context. In a poll, of the general US population( taken on 4/23/09) Pew found that Americans were split on the issue.Half said the use of torture dealing with suspected terrorist is often(15%) or sometime( 34%) justified. 22% said the use of torture is rarely justified, 25% said never.

NPR Poll: More Voters Think U.S. Is On Right Track

A new NPR poll shows that President Obama's job approval rating is high, and despite the economic crisis, far fewer voters think the U.S. is on the wrong track, compared with pre-election numbers. While the Democratic position on issues is favored across the board among likely voters polled, there's some reason for Republicans to hope.

Presidential race draws closer between Obama & McCain.

According to a poll from the Pew research Obama is losing ground to McCain. If the elections were held today, Obama would get 46% of voters against 43% for McCain. McCain has somehow managed to rally GOP's voters better than Obama with the Democrats. Only 72% of Clinton's supporters would vote for Obama. Having Hillary as VP would help.

Will demographic be the " Decider " of the 2008's elections?

Senator Obama has more support among younger and urban voters than Senator Clinton does.

On the other hand, she performs better than him in the rural areas, with blue collars and voters older than 65.

At this juncture, the key factor that will decide the November's elections outcome could be pure demographic. Older voters are more " reliable " than the young demographic.

The main question is: Will older democrats ( Clinton's key demographic) vote for Sen. McCain if Sen. Obama is the Dems nominee? If they do, the only way Sen. Obama can defeat Sen.McCain is if the young democrats turn up in record numbers at the polls, in November.
