The financial turmoil in the U.S. began with the housing crisis. Elizabeth Warren, who heads the Congressional Oversight Panel — the group charged with monitoring the government's $700 billion bailout package — says the panel is looking into whether any of that money is helping ease the mortgage crisis.Half of the money has being spent already.
