By Nidal al-Mughrabi GAZA (Reuters) - Israel on Wednesday rejected calls for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and stepped up preparations for a possible ground offensive.The humanitarian situation in Gaza is getting dire with almost 400 killed and 1,200 wounded.The 1.5 million Palestinians are running out of food & drinkable water.
