The Likud party has elected candidates dominated by hardliners for next February's elections. If the elections were held today, the Likud would defeat the Kadima party. Binyamin Netanyahu is likely to be Israel's new Prime Minister after the February vote. Needless to say, this is not good for any progress in the peace process with Palestinians.
